Original coastal survey chart showing soundings of Depuch Island approaches and anchorage just off Port Hedland, North Western Australia published by the U.S. Navy Hydrographic Office in Washington D.C. under the authority of the Secretary of the Navy during the Second World War.

Many of the charts were adapted or copied directly from the latest amended British Admiralty Charts of the time with additions made by the US Navy where applicable.

Details include the names of cities and waterways along the coast. Depth soundings are shown in fathoms. Other details that may be included are lighthouses and buoy positions and at times restricted areas.
