Lithographic map of the Townsite of Day Dawnwith hand drawn annotations including that of the Electoral District boundaries laid on linen. The annotations include the date the town was gazetted 21st December 1894. Under the Townsite name the word Municipality is added. Interestingly there is a schedule of Lot Prices quoted. We assume that these maps were used to define new electoral boundaries and may be unique, being the amended and updated copies of maps to the 20th September 1900. There is a signature in ink to the bottom left with the initials LMB 20/09//00 presumably the signature of the Chief DraughtsmanThe map was printed for the Department of Lands and Surveys under instruction from the Hon George Throssell MLA, Minister for Lands and under the supervision of Harry F Johnston Surveyor General of Western Australia.Commissioner of Crown Lands.
