Lithographic map of the Kimberley with hand drawn annotations including that of the Electoral District boundaries laid on linen. Note mention of Dead Horse Station and Stud Station. The area covered is from Carnot Bay to the West Australian border and inland to Mt Elder. We assume that these maps were used to define new electoral boundaries and may be unique, being the amended and updated copies of maps to the 8th October 1900. There is a signature in ink to the bottom left with the initials LMB 8/10/00 presumably the signature of the Chief Draughtsman. The map was printed for the Department of Lands and Surveys under instruction from the Hon George Throssell MLA, Minister for Lands and under the supervision of Harry F Johnston Surveyor General of Western Australia.
