William Hughes FRGS (1818-1876) was an English geographer, mapmaker and author. He was Professor of Geography at King’s College and Queens College, London and the Royal Female Naval School. He was also, for many years, Examiner in Geography to the College of Preceptors.
Hughes was a prolific author and editor of books for the classroom, biblical studies and general reference books.
