Soundings in hair line are given on the authority of Captain Freycinet French Imperial Ship Casuarina. Commander Wickham and Stokes, HMS Beagle, Captain Denham HMS Herald, Commander PP KingLieut Roe R.N 1803 to 1858. Additional soundings by Staff Commander J.E. Coglan and Nav. Lieut J.W Dixon and H.J.
